Shoe Lasting

is the shoemaking operation that sets the final shape of a shoe and holds it in place so the outsole can be permanently attached.  The following are shoe lasting constructions produced here at O'Leer.  


Strobal, Slip or Force Lasting

Also known as California Lasting, it is the most common shoe construction for casual shoes.


Strobel Lasting + Pulled Toe Tip

This shoe construction is often used on light hiking boots with smooth leather toe tips.



Board Lasting

Women's fashion shoes are made by board lasting as well as classic running shoes.


Strobel Forefoot + Board Lasting

Making a lightweight shoes more supportive with a shank or stiffer board.
